2019 Rules + Policies Drug + Alcohol Policy
Southwest Speedway has in effect a Zero Tolerance policy for the use of drugs and alcohol to include:
Use of drugs on the premises is not allowed.
Racing under the influence of drugs or alcohol is not allowed.
Use of alcohol in the pits is not allowed until AFTER the last checkered flag of the night.
Random drug and alcohol testing will be completed. If a positive test is produced the driver may not compete that evening and will be required to leave the pits. The test will be sent in for verification and a verified positive result will be reported to the sanctioning body of the driver. Also, a verified positive test will ban a driver from racing at Southwest Speedway until a negative test is produced.
In addition to random testing, the Board of Directors may issue a request for testing based on suspicion of use that violates this policy.
A refusal to complete a requested drug or alcohol test will result in the driver not being able to race that evening and removal of the driver from the pits, reporting to the sanctioning body, and ban from racing at Southwest Speedway until a negative test is produced.
